Koei Tecmo ha reso noto che in Samurai Warriors 4-II saranno presenti e nuovi scenari ad giocare in modalità storia, ciascuno dei quali legato a uno specifico personaggio. Tre di questi sono new entry per la serie, e i loro nomi sono Takatora Todo, Lady Haykawa e Yoshitsugu Otani; protagonsita del quarto scenario sarà invece il eprsonaggio di Gracia, particolarmente amato dai fan.
Inoltre, il gioco fornirà un nuovo sistema per potenziare armi e cavalcature, combinandole tra loro.

Hertfordshire, 10th September 2015- Koei Tecmo Europe released today a batch of new assets for Samurai Warriors 4-II, revealing information on the last group of playable characters featuring in this dramatic epic and focusing on some of the customisation options available to players.
Completing the 14 exciting new episodes of the Samurai Warriors saga, the last chapters of Samurai Warriors 4-II revolve around Fealty, Honour, Fate and War.
The central characters of these thrilling chapters were first introduced as playable in Samurai Warriors 4, apart from the fan favourite character Gracia, who has been with the franchise since its second instalment.
Specifically:
- Takatora Todo, a general who has sworn an oath of fealty to the Azai clan and vows to focus on living instead of recklessly endangering his life
- Lady Haykawa, whose sense of honour and devotion to her family lead her to accept a cruel fate with bravery and a steady hand.
- Yoshitsugu Otani, whose allegiance to the famed Mitsunari Ishida forces him to face a great enemy.
- Lastly, Gracia, a simple an innocent young girl with a very unique goal in mind.
In addition to screenshots and images of the new characters, Koei Tecmo also detailed customisable options for mounts and weapons that can be used in the game.
Both weapons and mounts in Samurai Warriors 4-II have ranks and levels; players can combine similar type weapons or mounts to upgrade their level and abilities. Combining high rank and level weapons or mounts with the same elemental attribute could result in a "Compatibility Bonus" that enables breaks through the maximum level cap and bestows it with new abilities!
This exciting feature opens up endless possibilities for equipping the playable characters in the game and it allows for a unique play style for each of the fourteen protagonists of this riveting war drama.
