Thief 1 Gold, blocco dopo 1 minuto: problema doppio processore

Ho acquistato Thief Gold ma ho qualche problema.
Dopo circa 1 minuto di utilizzo il gioco si blocca, in rete ho trovato la soluzione che sembra legata al Cpu Dual Core ecc. che io ho.
La soluzione sarebbe questa:
Game freezes within a minute / Running Thief on a Dual-Processor/Dual Core System or Got a Pentium 4 with Hyperthreading?
When activated, Intel's Hyperthreading makes it appear that you have two CPUs. Pentium 4 D and Athlon 64 X2 processors have 2 cores on one chip - they are dual processors.
Make sure that Thief is set to only use 1 processor with High, or Realtime priority. Dark Engine games don't like dual processor systems unless they are configured in this way. Salvage has written a great FAQ on how to do it easily. You can find his FAQ here.
Here is an alternative solution for multi-core issues: Modify the "Target" option in your Thief shortcut to C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 thief2.exe
to dedicate the first CPU core to the game (or "/affinity 2" for the second, and so on).

L'ho tradotta ma non ho proprio capito bene, sembrerebbe che il file thief.exe deve essere eseguito su 1 solo core e o applicando una priorità diversa.
Mi sapete aiutare?

Ho risolto così:
1) Installate il programma Process Lasso e avviatelo
2) Avviate Thief restando nell'interfaccia principale
3)Premete tasto WINDOWS per tornare sul desktop e andate in Process Lasso
4)CercateLO Thief.exe nel "PROCESSI IN ESECUZIONE" e su di esso tasto dx del mouse
5)Impostate in "SETTA L'ATTUALE CLASSE DI PRIORITà" in TEMPO REALE
6)Impostate in "SETTA L'ATTUALE AFFINITà DELLA CPU" solo CPU0 e togliete il segno alla CPU1, in modo che thief lavori con un solo core. fatto!!!

Per impostare in modo definitivo l'affinità ad un solo core, scarica ed installa il DEF(Dark engine fix). Così non dovrai impostare ogni volta l'affinità...
